An important aspect producing e-books is to promote and support authors, both new and established’, who are contributing to the publications on alternatives in education. Apart from that It has been shown that a digital version of a book will enhance the ‘hard copy’ sales, it is also a ‘very useful item’. The ability to "quote" texts (within ‘fair use’) is invaluable.

ABC members downloading books will be invited to make a direct contribution to the author (estate or publisher).

As a start we have works from the following authors available now or in the ‘pipeline’ and hopefully coming soon:

* A.S.Neil
* Bertrand Russell
* David Gribble
* Grace Llwellyn
* Ivan Illich
* Jerry Mintz
* Leonard Turton
* Robert Van Nood
* Ronald Meighan

In time and as we get the resource through membership donations we will be adding extensively to this list and of course members suggestions are welcome, in fact encouraged. For instance we would like to have Bill Brysons’ A Short History of Nearly Everything and Aldous Huxleys’ The Art Of Seeing

There are many ‘alternative’ text books that would be great to have as an online resource and we look forward to approaching authors and publishers to support ABC.
