The Neubronner’s received another letter, threatening them  with additional penalty payments of 3000, if their children don’t go to school regularly from the 10th of December. That’s on top of the € 4,.500 already demanded.

The letter also stated that if the children  don’t go to school, "further means of coercion to make sure your children visit school will be induced".

All of the arguments by the Neiubronners have been rejected. Since the Neubronner’s are not able to pay such amounts, the goverment can attatch their income for months or possibly take away their house.

The German "authorities" in their letter attempt to explain their actions thusly:

"It is serving the main public interest and the interest of your children to execute this command immediately to secure the right of education and the task of compulsory schooling for your children."

Isn’t that a gem of wisdom. It is truly amazing how the people, we as citizens expect to be intelligent, can be so completely off the mark, and with their heads in the sand about reality.      … and they actually get paid

It is believed that the family will likely reject this latest penalty payment as they have the others the others.

We have obtained  copies of the original documents (Deutsch), in case they can be useful.

You will find translation of the letters around the homeschool issue and many photos of the protest in front of the German School in Pretoria. at  http://www.bremen-memorial.org/ , where the South African homeschoolers report about their protest.
